 The 16th International Ferro-Alloys Conference will be hosted in the Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel, Trondheim ans it is organized by some SisAl Pilot project partners (Sintef and NTNU). The intention of INFACON is to stimulate technical interchange on all aspects of ferroalloy production. INFACON contributes to the exchange of research and development covering the major and most of the minor ferroalloys.

The conference starts with a reception and an organ concert on Sunday 26th.

Over the next three days we have composed a program with informative and interesting talks on all aspects of the industry. There will be keynote talks on CO2 Emissions, metallurgical research and markets.

Whatever your interests, or role within your organization, we think you will find something of interest in the technical sessions. The sessions will cover the following topics: CO2 emissions and reductants; Furnace electrodes and refractories; Tapping and refining refractories; Recycling; Mn-alloys – raw materials, pretreatment, furnace operation, tapping and slags; Mn – products and refining; FeNi; FeCr; Si/FeSi -production, furnace operation, electrical Si, Si-slag; Electrical systems – emissions and HSE; Furnace modelling; Other alloys; Reductants.
